When starting a purring pet for yourself, there are so many things to consider: where to put the litter box for the pet (as a rule, they are placed in the toilet); what to feed the cat; where to put bowls for food and water; what to choose a scratching post so that your chairs and sofas remain safe and sound, etc. But no less important is the question of where to equip your pet with a place to sleep. And for this, you first need to figure out where the cats sleep.
Warmer, even warmer
Mustached Murki and Barsiki often sleep in the warmest places in the house. This choice of bed is especially relevant for older cats, which are more susceptible to hypothermia - a condition in which the body temperature drops below what is necessary to maintain optimal body function and metabolism.
Often, cats go to bed in their owner's bed somewhere at his feet. This is an obvious fact. We are warm-blooded creatures, like our pets, and therefore a cat in our bed feels comfortable, especially when we warm it with our body. Thus, you can confidently say that the place where the cat sleeps is the warmest (well, or one of the warmest) in the apartment.
Higher and higher
But, choosing a place to sleep for yourself, your tailed pet will not be limited only by this criterion. Where do cats like to sleep in a warm corner by the radiator, an armchair by the fireplace or even your bed? Somewhere higher, of course. Moreover, it can be not only a tall wardrobe or chest of drawers, but also a bedside table, a chair with a soft seat or a shoe shelf. The back of your favorite chair or sofa is also a perfectly suitable cat bed.
Higher and higher
That is, our smaller moustached brothers love to sleep not only in warmth, but also at a height. And there is a completely logical explanation for these wayward creatures. First, a full view of the entire surrounding area opens up from a height. It is very convenient for a hunter, and a cat is a hunter by nature, even if she has not caught a single mouse in her entire life and has not even seen it in her eyes. This is nature, and you can't get away from it.
Secondly, high places are often also warm. After all, warm air is lighter than cold air, and it always rises.
And thirdly, falling asleep somewhere at a height, the pet shows you its superiority. They say who climbed the highest is the main one. These dogs love to serve their masters, and cats are proud, independent creatures. They rather do not love, but allow people to love themselves.
"Cats are selfish" - you say? Undoubtedly, but how can you not love them, because they are so touching. As soon as the kitty jump on your lap, curl up on them and purr, and you will immediately be stupefied, forgetting about the tattered chair, torn curtains and marked slippers.
