Step 1
Cocker haircut should be started from the head. Use the clipper to gently trim the forehead and bridge of the dog's nose towards the nose. Then trim the cheeks, gently remove the hair under the eyes with the edge of the nozzle. Cut your lips very carefully - do not injure the dog and do not accidentally cut off the mustache. Then remove the excess on the chin, bottom and sides of the neck, while especially carefully treating the area around the ear canal. Then work on the back of your neck. Next, you have a very difficult moment - a haircut for your ears. The base of the ears is also cut short with a typewriter, and the wavy six on the ear cloth needs to be trimmed with thinning scissors so that it falls down in a beautiful wave. The inside of the ear should be trimmed a little harder than the outside, otherwise tangles may form.
Step 2
When the head is finished, it's time to move on to the torso. On the chest, back and upper half of the sides, the coat should also be short, so we put the clipper back in motion. Then it is necessary to form a transition to the long hair on the belly with thinning scissors. Don't worry, it's very easy to do this with a dedicated tool. The most important thing is to be symmetrical. This can be difficult the first time.
Step 3
On the belly, the hair is left long, but this does not mean that it does not need to be dealt with. It must be carefully trimmed with thinning scissors so that it is the same length and does not touch the ground.
Step 4
Cocker paws can be trimmed in two ways - remove the hair from the front and side, leaving a wave on the back, or use thinning scissors to form fluffy "pants" of long hair. But in any case, it is necessary to process the lower part of the legs. To do this, cut the hair between the fingers with ordinary scissors, and cut the strands that cover the fingers on top in a semicircle.
Step 5
The finishing touch is tail processing. First, trim the inside of the tail and the space underneath shortly. This is done not only for aesthetic, but also for hygienic purposes. Then either use a thinning scissors to trim the outside of the coat and form a transition from a smooth back to a fluffy ponytail, or trim it completely with a clipper.
