Step 2
Up to a month, little kittens eat 6-8 times a day. It is very easy to understand that a kitten is hungry - it begins to squeak and crawl around the nest. Up to two weeks of age, it is most convenient to feed the baby from a pipette. The milk should be slightly warmed up. To check the temperature, put a drop on the back of your wrist - if the milk is lukewarm, you can start feeding.

After 2 weeks of age, you can try bottle feeding with a nipple. After each meal, be sure to massage the cat's tummy so that the digestive processes in a small body run correctly.

Closer to the month of the kittens can be taught to the saucer. As soon as the little ones get hungry and start squeaking, place a low-edged plate of milk next to them. To make the kittens more quickly realize what is required of them, you can lightly poke their nose into the milk. The first attempts to drink on your own do not always end successfully. The kids still do not understand well how to lap, so they will try to draw milk into themselves, therefore they will choke and cough. This will gradually pass.

At the first attempts to learn how to lap from a saucer, many kittens will try to fit into a bowl with paws. Therefore, prepare a towel in advance to dry the hapless swimmers, otherwise they may catch a cold. As a rule, by one month kittens have finally mastered the science of feeding and can eat from a saucer on their own.
