Many dog owners do not even want to hear about closing their pets in special cages - this is an absolute mockery! In principle, their opinion is quite understandable, but its justification is rather dubious, if not very superficial.
Dog cage: a necessity or a luxury
If you do not want to purchase a crate for your dog, because you are afraid to injure his psyche or simply think it is too cruel - you are deeply mistaken! After all, no one protests, for example, against sewn or wicker dog houses in the apartment, as well as wooden booths in the private sector. Simply put, the essence does not change from the material of manufacture. A dog cage is its home, refuge and personal space. Moreover, in an unfamiliar or foreign place.
Dog shows are an example. Pay attention to how the animals behave there: someone draws their tail and tries to hide behind the owner's leg, others show an evil grin and try to sort things out with their relatives. As a result - fatigue and extreme irritation in the ring, respectively, not always a worthy assessment of experts. While the animals, quietly sitting in their cages, appear before the judges fresh, rested and full of strength. This is explained by the fact that despite the crowd of people and dogs, they were isolated, that is, protected. In this case, the need for a dog cage is obvious.
Traveling with a dog - you can't do without a cage
The cage will be no less useful for transporting dogs. Cars, trains, waiting rooms and endless transfers … All this leads to tremendous stress. You have probably noticed more than once that when your dog is in a state of panic or fear, it subconsciously tries to get into some kind of shelter. This is why the carriage (cage) makes it easier for the dog to endure excitement.
Cage at home
As for the house or apartment, then a dog cage will not hurt here either. For example, if you are planning to do the cleaning or are waiting for guests, especially with a small child. Remember that no matter how well-mannered your dog is, not everything depends on it - it is not always possible for a kid to explain how to treat animals correctly: do not pull the ears, do not poke fingers in the eye, etc. Accordingly, it is the cage that will become real salvation for an animal in a similar situation.
Raising a little puppy
Or, for example, a puppy - what is it worth to teach him to cleanliness. Is not it? If you have a special cage, leaving the house, you can close your pet in it for a couple of hours, and when you return, immediately take him out for a walk. But keep in mind that the dog should not spend too much time in the cage, otherwise its health may deteriorate significantly. In order for the animal to fully develop, it needs good nutrition, movement, games, and, of course, communication with the owner.
Taking into account all of the above, it is safe to say that a cage for a dog is not a luxury, and even more so not a manifestation of cruelty on the part of the owner, but a real necessity.
