Design features of an automated tray
The usual filler was replaced by special washable granules that do not require replacement during use. The automatic cat litter box is connected to electricity, cold water and sewage.
After the four-legged friend has done his business, the system starts a cleaning cycle. Liquid waste flows into a special tank, solid waste is collected with a spatula, ground and washed down the drain. The granules with which the tray is filled are washed with a special shampoo placed in a cartridge and dried with hot air. It takes about half an hour to completely clean the tray.
Manufacturers suggest using one of two modes. This can be programming automatic cleaning at a certain time of the day from 1 to 4 times or a mode that starts cleaning 10 minutes after the cat visits the tray. The latter option is more economical and allows you to reduce the consumption of shampoo by 2 times.
Benefits of automatic trays
The main advantage of such a system is the ability to process any type of waste. As the owner, you no longer have to deal with pet excrement, cleaning and washing of the tray. Also, the issue of caring for animals in the absence of the owner is no longer relevant.
Automatic trays allow you to get rid of the usual filler and its dust, which often causes allergies. The granules and shampoo used are absolutely non-toxic products. When they enter the sewer, the decomposition process takes no more than 9 months.
The toilet can be used for several animals. The design contains no moving parts and is absolutely safe for the cat. If the granule is swallowed by an animal, it will naturally leave the body on its own due to the fact that it has a smooth, streamlined surface.
Disadvantages of automated trays
The main disadvantage stems from the merit of the system. Installation of the device is feasible only in those places where it is possible to connect to the sewerage, water supply and electricity. And if your pet has chosen a different place for the toilet, you will have to make a lot of efforts to retrain it.
It is forbidden to use shampoos and granules from other manufacturers in the system. Any breakdowns caused by the use of inappropriate means relieve the manufacturer of its warranty service obligations.
The design has dimensions of 53, 3x48, 3x40, 7x61 cm, if the installation is supposed to be in a small apartment with a divided bathroom, there may not be enough free space.
