Guard dogs differ from guard dogs in that they must not only warn the owner about the appearance of a stranger, but also attack an uninvited guest. Shepherd dogs, black terriers, Rottweilers, Giant Schnauzers and many other service dogs have such qualities.
Instructions
Step 1
Sheepdogs have long been considered the classic defenders of the home and family. They are ideal for protecting large areas. Sheepdogs lend themselves well to training, but one owner should train them: they do not trust strangers. At any attempt by a stranger to enter the protected area, they show their better protective qualities, therefore, when guests come to you, keep the shepherd dog strictly in the aviary.
Step 2
The black Russian terrier or "Stalin's dog" was specially bred for service and security functions. This dog is so attached to the owner that it may not recognize his relatives or close people. Therefore, even from puppyhood, the black terrier needs socialization and accustoming to other pets, since it has developed dominant qualities. The dog is very active, loves games. Its long coat needs regular brushing.
Step 3
The Giant Schnauzer was officially recognized as a guard dog at the beginning of the last century. However, her protective qualities are also excellent. Representatives of this breed have guarded the house since ancient times, guarded herds of livestock, so that protective reflection is in his blood. This is an active dog, loving the family in which he lives. Giant Schnauzers require special care for long hair - the dog will need to be brushed regularly and trimmed from time to time.
Step 4
For more than a century, the Rottweiler has been officially recognized as a police dog. And this is not accidental, because her guard-sentry instincts are very well developed. This dog perfectly separates behavior at work and at home. The Rottweiler almost always remains calm, rarely barking for no reason. But he will always respond to a threat with an energetic attack. Despite the fact that this is a short-haired dog, it is perfectly adapted for the harsh Russian winters.
Step 5
Small dogs are completely unsuitable for the role of watchmen. Decorative dogs will not be able to protect your home, they are clearly created for aesthetic pleasure. Representatives of other small breeds can raise noisy barking, but this is unlikely to prevent uninvited guests from entering the house. By the way, some large dogs, for example, huskies or huskies, are good watchmen, but not guards.
