Shar Pei, unlike other dog breeds, does not need frequent bathing. The unpleasant smell of "doggy", the dog publishes only when there are any health problems. Remember - frequent bathing, more than once a month, can lead to dandruff.

- -special dog shampoo;
- -special dog powder (optional);
- -special conditioner for wire-haired dog breeds;
- -towel and / or hair dryer.
Instructions
Step 1
Soak cotton swabs with oil and plug your dog's ears. If possible, do not wash the dog's head at all, since if dirty water accidentally gets into the Shar-Pei's ears, inflammation cannot be avoided. Fill a tub or deep basin with warm water (no more than 35C). There should be enough water to cover the Shar Pei's paws, maximum - to reach the dog's chest. Be sure to lay a rag or rubber mat on the bottom of the bathtub or basin, this should be done so that the dog does not fall, slipping.
Step 2
Place your dog in a water bath. Thoroughly moisten the coat and apply a special dog shampoo (preferably tar or sulfur) with light massaging movements. Do not use regular shampoo, as after using it, redness and irritation may appear on the Shar Pei's skin. Wash your dog gently but thoroughly. Be sure to clean out any dirt from the folds. After finishing washing, rinse off the remaining shampoo from the Shar Pei body with plenty of clean and warm water.
Step 3
Dry the dog with a soft large towel, if the room is cool - dry it with a hairdryer. Dry all hard-to-reach places thoroughly with a hairdryer. To do this, you can also use a special dog powder (absorbent). After bathing, use a special conditioner for wire-haired dog breeds. To avoid colds and hypothermia, do not take the Shar Pei outside after swimming for at least three hours. If you think that one bath a month is not enough for your dog, use dry shampoos.
