There are the following types of drugs that can protect your pet from fleas: collars, shampoos, sprays and drops. Many of them can also eliminate other insects: lice, ticks. Collars are suitable for preventive purposes, drops, shampoos and sprays to remove fleas.
Instructions
Step 1
Wash your cat with shampoo according to the manufacturer's recommendations on the packaging. Remember that no shampoo will kill insects outside the animal. Rinse the coat thoroughly after processing, otherwise your pet runs the risk of poisoning when it begins to lick. As a result, vomiting, fever and nausea are possible. Among the shampoos, "Hartz", "Beafar", "Celandine" have proven themselves well.
Step 2
Use drops - this is one of the best products on the market, both in terms of effectiveness and safety for the animal. For example, "Adventage", "Frontline", "Promeris", "Hartz". Apply them to the skin at the withers. The medicine is absorbed, after which it enters the bloodstream and spreads throughout the body. When bitten, a flea is poisoned with poison, which is already in the cat's blood and dies. Such drops are capable of killing even flea larvae that are on the body of an animal. Wash your cat a few hours after application. The action of the drug lasts about a month.
Step 3
You can use a special insect control spray of the brands "Rolfclub", "Celandine", "Bars". This is also a very effective remedy. The effect lasts almost three months, and the drug itself is absolutely safe for the pet. Some of its species can kill fleas and other insects from a distance. They die already when they are close to an animal that has been sprayed. To enhance the effect, treat rugs, baskets, and bedding on which your cat likes to sleep to avoid re-infection.
Step 4
After removing the parasites, buy and put on your pet a collar, for example, "Kiltiks", "Bolfo", "Rolfclub", "Beafar". Remember that the effect of it will be negligible if the collar is chosen as a means of fighting fleas. And as a preventive measure, it is perfect. But keep in mind that some manufacturers add amitraza, which is dangerous for cats. It can cause allergies in the animal. Therefore, before you buy a collar, read the composition carefully.
