Step 1
Bathe the Siberian cat only as needed: after a trip to the country house, renovation in the apartment and always before the exhibition. If you bathe a Siberian too often, the natural protection of his skin and coat will greatly diminish over time.
Step 2
Remember to follow some important rules when bathing your Siberian cat. First, do not wash your pet if it has just eaten. The time interval between feeding and bathing the Siberian should be at least four hours. Secondly, before you bathe the Siberian cat, comb it thoroughly.
Step 3
Before you start bathing your Siberian cat, prepare everything you need for this procedure. Place the animal wash basin on a flat, stable surface. Place a terry towel or rubber mat on the bottom to keep the cat from slipping while bathing. Fill the bowl about halfway with water. Its temperature should not be lower than 38 ° and above 40 ° C.
Step 4
Use only a special shampoo for bathing a Siberian cat, which can be purchased at any pet store. If you don't have such a product at hand, use baby shampoo.
Step 5
Before you bathe your pet, clean its ears with a cotton swab dipped in peach or Vaseline oil. Use a regular sponge to wash your Siberian cat. When bathing, try not to pour water on your pet's head. It is enough to just slightly wet it. Wash the Siberian's face with a cotton pad. Make sure that no water or foam gets into your cat's ears while bathing.
Step 6
After bathing the Siberian cat, wrap it in a large towel and take it to a warm, draft-free room. Make sure the coat is completely dry before you let go of your pet to do its usual activities.
