Both adults and children like decorative rabbits, there are no people indifferent to them. They are so cute that even the most callous person has a desire to take the little eared animal home. But do not think that keeping rabbits at home is as easy as, for example, cats. Decorative dwarf rabbits are ideal for keeping in the house. They are unpretentious, do not require a lot of space, they can even be taught to cleanliness and to the toilet! When deciding to bring a rabbit into the house, first familiarize yourself with some of the rules for the care and maintenance of these animals.

Step 1
Until the animal is accustomed to people, treat it with extreme caution. Children under 7-8 years old should not be trusted with rabbit care.

Monitor your pet's teeth and nails. Place tree branches in the cage, and trim your nails with special tongs.
Step 3
Make sure that your rabbit cage is spacious enough with two litter boxes and an automatic drinker (regular rabbits are often knocked over). Protect the animal from drafts and direct sunlight. The rabbit's dwelling should be washed once a week, and the trays should be disinfected after each use.
Step 4
Periodically release the rabbit to "walk" and warm up, because in the wild, animals are actively moving.
Step 5
Provide your pet with clean, fresh water and hay. When offering new fruits and vegetables to your rabbit, keep in mind that these animals are very sensitive to pesticides. Do not feed the eared animal with wet grass and hay, this can cause bloating, which is very dangerous for the health of rabbits.
Step 6
Every three months, do prophylaxis of internal and external parasites, and to protect against dangerous diseases, do special vaccinations. It is advisable in this case to contact a certified veterinary clinic.
Step 7
Bathing the rabbit is not recommended, however, in some cases, you can wash the paws. If there is a need to wash the whole rabbit, try not to wet the ears, and thoroughly dry the animal after bathing.
