Step 1
The pet owner must ensure that all the formalities and conditions of the competition are complied with. You need to collect a whole package of documents. Only individuals older than 3 months can participate in the exhibition. This is a prerequisite for holding such events on the territory of Russia. You will need a veterinary passport with notes on vaccinations and treatments for parasites. You cannot do without a certificate of Form No. 1 and No. 4 from the State Veterinary Service. The certificate is issued on the basis of a veterinary passport and a clinical examination of the animal. It indicates the name of the owner, age, nickname, breed of pet, a list of vaccinations and other preventive measures.
Step 2
When examined in the clinic, the skin and hair are checked, the ears are examined to exclude the presence of an ear mite, the eyes, inguinal and oral cavity of the pet are checked. Different secretions, parasites can be the reason for exclusion from participation in the exhibition. Sometimes it is difficult with the naked eye to notice the presence of microorganisms on the body of an animal. For this, VUDA fluorescent lamps are used. Fungal infections, including ringworm, cannot be recognized in the early stages. The lamp allows you to see the bright, phosphoric glow of the damaged coat. In this case, the cat should never be taken to the exhibition, as there is a risk of infecting other participants.
Step 3
An analysis of feces is mandatory to identify the presence of worms in the body. Vaccinations against infectious diseases and rabies are required. Moreover, after the vaccination, at least 30 days and no more than 12 months must pass. For the contestants from the European Union and Asian countries, another mandatory item has been introduced - the cat must be chipped, that is, a special microchip must be inserted under the skin. It allows you to read information about the pet using a scanner.
Step 4
For the exhibition it is necessary to prepare the pedigree of the pet. In all documents, you should check the correct spelling of the name, sex, age, color, breed, show class, details of the owner of the cat. At the venue of the event, pets undergo another veterinarian check. Contestants must be absolutely clean, vigorous and healthy, with trimmed nails. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to participate in the exhibition.
