Step 2
Skip the next feeding of the dog (it is better not to feed it for about 12 hours) if it only has vomiting, in the absence of other alarming symptoms listed above (fever, lethargy, diarrhea, blood or worms in the vomit). Observe during this time the condition of the animal, if vomiting has not recurred, the condition has not worsened, feed the dog boiled rice. To protect the stomach lining, give your pet an enveloping agent (for example, "Almagel") or a decoction of rolled oats.

Contact your veterinarian without wasting time if the dog is vomiting frequently, there is blood or worms in the vomit, it has a general depression, the animal lies, it shakes, it has a hot nose, diarrhea, and also if you fed the dog after 12 hours, and vomited again several times. The causes of vomiting can be very different, they will be determined by a veterinarian and prescribed treatment.
If the dog is poisoned by poor-quality food or ate something during a walk, then after vomiting, give the dog water and activated charcoal or a weak solution of potassium permanganate (first aid, then you need to show the dog to the veterinarian). If this is an internal disease of the gastrointestinal tract, diet and appropriate treatment are necessary, which will be prescribed by a veterinarian.
