Step 1
Ask passers-by if they noticed the animal, and in which direction did it run, flew or crawl? You can show the photo of the pet you have.
Step 2
Walk around neighboring yards, looking into basements, manholes, garbage chutes, or other secluded places if possible. Your pet found itself in unfamiliar conditions, where he could be in danger, and, naturally, he hid.
Step 3
If the animal is not found immediately, post the missing announcement on the poles, advertise with the photo in different newspapers or post it on the Internet, indicate in them the signs of the pet, where and when you got lost.
Step 4
Call the toll-free pet tracing service if there is one in your city. It contains all the information from veterinary institutions, from animal shelters about the animals found. Perhaps someone spotted your animal and reported it. Remember to do the same in a similar situation.
Step 5
Leave the information about your pet at the information desk: color, breed, age, sex, special features and habits, the presence of a collar or leash. When the fugitive is found, you will be informed.
Step 6
Submit an application indicating the acceptance for catching the animal to the veterinary service. The search will be carried out using specialized services.
Step 7
Browse the internet for a free file of missing pets. Here all the information is systematized, indicate the exact place of loss (region, city, street).
Step 8
Take every chance to search. Do not think that the animal will walk up and come, it will simply get lost in the city (the pet spends most of its life in a confined space). This attitude towards the situation may cost your pet's life. Drive away from yourself the thought that the pet could die or that he is being cruelly treated; hope everything goes well and you find it.
