The cold has come, it's time to think about the birds. Indeed, in severe frosts, it is much more difficult for them to find food for themselves. Not everyone can make a wooden feeder. It is much easier to make it from ordinary cardboard boxes.
It is necessary
two juice bags, string or twine, two cocktail tubes, scissors
Instructions
Step 1
The simplest feeder will be made from milk or juice bags. Take such a package, draw a window on one side with a pencil - the entrance. Place it at a height of 1.5-2 cm from the bottom edge so that the food does not spill out. Cut carefully with scissors. The size of the hole should be such that titmouses can not only peck, clinging to the resulting border at the bottom of the box, but also fly inside. You can even make two windows in the side walls. Now attach some string so you can hang the feeder from the branch. To do this, cut a rope 40 cm long, stretch it at the top of the bag, and tie the ends. The feeder is ready, you can hang it on a branch.
Step 2
For such feeders, any cardboard boxes, different in shape and size, are suitable. Choose colorful ones, they will attract the attention of birds. Bags of oatmeal, baby food, muesli look original on winter trees. Do not use only cartons made from laundry detergents and other chemical materials.
Step 3
A more complex but reliable option can be built from two juice bags. Take one liter bag, cut a hole in its front side, 2 cm away from the edge. This will be the bottom of the trough. Then cut a 1.5-liter bag along the bottom and narrow edges, leaving its top intact. Now attach this structure with the cut sides to the bottom, in the form of a roof. Mark the connection points. Cut holes in them. You can use regular cocktail tubes to connect. Pull them carefully through the holes. The result is a pyramid with a bottom and sides that converge in the form of a roof.
Step 4
Pass any lace at the top, tie its ends. You can choose a place on the branch for a new feeder. Such a model will not allow the stern to crumble, even in strong winds. And its swinging will scare off the sparrows, but will attract the titmouses. For feed, it is best to use small raw seeds, millet or any cereals, bread crumbs. Every time you come to the dacha, do not forget to pour food into the feeder. Such feeders can also be hung in the yard of the house. Neighboring children will be happy to pour crumbs into them.
