Preventive deworming is carried out once a quarter, and also every time before vaccination and viscous animal. Anthelminthic drugs are prohibited for pregnant females and three-week-old puppies.
Cutaneous preparations for worms
Advocate is a broad-spectrum antiparasitic drug. It kills larval and sexually mature forms of intestinal nematodes, larval forms of Dirofilariae, lice, fleas, demodectic and sarcoptoid ticks, as well as lice. This drug is applied drip to dry, intact skin in places inaccessible for licking: between the shoulder blades, on the back. The minimum therapeutic dose is 0.1 ml per kg of animal body weight. For prophylactic purposes, the drug is used once a month.
Bars spot-on is a highly effective prophylactic agent against round and tape helminths, sarcoptoid and demodectic mites, insects. The drug is used at a dose of 0.15 ml per kg of animal weight. It is dripped onto intact dry skin at points inaccessible for licking: at the base of the skull or along the back.
Prazicide-complex - antiparasitic drops that have a detrimental effect on nematodes and cestodes, sarcoptoid and demodectic mites and some other insects. They spread the fur of the animal and drip the product onto the skin in several places inaccessible for licking.
Oral anthelmintic drugs
Alben S - tablets with a wide spectrum of anthelmintic action. This drug is used for the prevention of toxocariasis, toxascariasis, uncinariosis, ankylostomiasis, trichocephalosis, dipylidiosis, echinococcosis, diphyllobothriasis and other teniidosis in dogs and cats. Alben S is given to animals once in the morning feeding by dissolving the tablets in a small amount of water. The dose is calculated as follows: 1 tablet is needed for 5 kg of animal weight.
Dirofen is an anthelmintic drug intended for the prevention of diseases caused by cestodes and nematodes. You can use the drug only from three weeks of age, once, 1 tablet per kg of weight. The medicine is given forcibly, with the pet's favorite treat, or crushed, and then suspended in a small amount of water and immediately given to the animal, injecting the medicine from a syringe directly onto the root of the tongue.
Antiparasitic injection drugs
Levamisole is an injection solution used for the prevention of toxocariasis, uncinariosis, hookworm infection. This drug is effective against nematodes of the lungs and gastrointestinal tract. It is administered subcutaneously. A single dose is 1 ml of solution per 10 kg of animal body weight.
Ivermek is an injection solution with a pronounced antiparasitic effect. It rather quickly destroys larval and sexually mature forms of nematodes of the lungs and gastrointestinal tract, larvae of gadflies, bloodsuckers, lice and sarcoptoid ticks. The drug is administered intramuscularly at a dose of 0.2 ml of the drug per 10 kg of animal weight.
