Step 1
To make a loop, a soft, annealed wire is required. Hares that fall into a loop of rigid wire usually easily crawl out of it, and such a wire is not convenient in installation. Usually, the wire is annealed with a whole coil, and then it is cut into identical pieces up to 1 m long. Then, the ready-made hinges are folded into a circle for easy portability.
Step 2
Hunting a hare using a loop occurs during the period of loose and deep snow. A piece of wire with a ring at the end is removed, well straightened and stretched between the fingers. Then, this wire is bent into a circle and the free end is passed through the ring at the other end of the wire. Not far from the hare's path, we look for a flexible tree with a diameter of about 6 cm, and fasten the free end of the wire to it. When the hare gets into the loop, he begins to pull the wire strongly, so you need to screw it not high. The loop should be perpendicular to the location of the trail, and the shape should resemble an ellipse. The ring should slide easily from the push, but not from the wind. Since the hare very often bypasses the loop, its optimal diameter should be about 25 cm.

If there are no trees near the paths, then the loop can be attached to a stick stuck in the snow. But the percentage of breakage of the loop attached to the stick is much higher than that attached to the tree.
If there are a lot of hares, then you can catch them during the day. To do this, you need to go around all the areas where hares are supposed to live, and install loops on the paths. Then, noisily walk inside this area, driving out the hiding hares from there. Thus, the frightened hare runs along the trail and falls into a noose. For successful hare catching, the quality of the wire is of great importance, so you need to be very careful about its choice.
