At home, it is impossible to completely repeat the natural food chain, so you should smoothly transfer the bird to homemade food, made up of a variety of fruits, berries and seeds.

If the bird has previously eaten some kind of prepared food, be sure to find out its brand and type in order to continue feeding the bird with the same composition. To change feed, switch the bird to the new type of food gradually so that the change in diet does not harm the health of the bird.

Do not feed the bird with questionable seeds covered with insecticides, poisons, mold and excrement from rodents and small animals. When purchasing seed mixes, sift, clean and rinse thoroughly before consuming. You can dry the seeds both in air and in a gas oven at a temperature of 100 degrees.

Develop a regular feeding regimen where birds receive their daily ration at the same time every day. In addition to the standard set of seeds, add feed mixes, insects and soft foods to your bird feed a couple of times a week.
