They are mobile, inquisitive and freedom-loving. You should not buy a husky just for its beauty or just to have an animal at home. Quite often, owners sell dogs due to insufficiently high working qualities. If you decide to purchase an adult dog, try to pre-test it on the hunt. It should be remembered that the new owner is far from always able to achieve the necessary contact with such a dog, to influence its already formed habits and behavior.

If you are purchasing an adult, but not yet working dog, analyze its origin, evaluate the exterior, familiarize yourself with the peculiarities of behavior. Take advantage of the advice of an experienced dog handler.

Of course, it's best to raise your own dog. Before purchasing a puppy, determine which type of hunting interests you more than others. Although the hunting husky can be trained on almost any game, you should still take into account the existing characteristics of different breeds. Take the puppy from the working dogs of a serious hunter.

When examining puppies, drop, for example, a bunch of keys on the floor. Pay attention to the reactions of the little ones. The most daring and curious will come to see what it is. Assess your response to pain. Take your puppy with your nails. Choose those who snap.

Examine the puppy's head. The muzzle should be black from the nose to almost the eyes, regardless of the color of the animal. The nostrils are wide, the eyes are deeply set with an oblique cut, the ears are of medium size, mobile, the occipital part is long and sharp. Look into the mouth - the sky should be black, there are no more than nine protrusions on the upper jaw. These scars are used by hunters to determine which hunting species the dog will perform best for.

Examine the puppy's claws and fur. A good healthy husky has multi-colored or double-colored claws, the hair stands in needles. If there are warts, then this is a sign of foreign blood. However, such a dog will work well for a large animal.

There is an old-fashioned way of choosing husky puppies. At 3-4 days of age, before the babies see their sight, they are seated in turn on a cut of chocks. They choose those who, having reached the edge, were able to resist.
