Instructions
Step 1
The Yorkshire Terrier needs to have its eyes washed daily. This can be done with boiled water, chamomile broth, weak tea, or a special liquid that is sold in veterinary pharmacies. Dampen a cotton ball and run it from the outer edge of each eye to the dog's nose.
Step 2
Ear cleaning is another procedure that the dog may not like, but should be done regularly. The Yorkie has big ears with hair growing inside. They should be removed regularly with tweezers or fingers, whichever is more convenient for you. To make the procedure less painful for the animal, use a special powder with an analgesic effect. Place the cleaning lotion on your dog's ears and use a cotton swab to remove the dirt.
Step 3
York is a lap dog, she does not like to walk for hours on the street, so the owner has to monitor the condition of his pet's claws, which do not have time to grind. Using special scissors, carefully cut the tips of the animal's claws, being careful not to touch the blood vessels. If you are afraid to perform this procedure, file your nails with a nail file every three to four days. Or contact your veterinarian who will do everything for you.
Step 4
Teeth are the weak point of Yorkshire Terriers. Purchase a special dog toothpaste and brush. If your pet categorically does not want to brush your teeth, visit a veterinarian every six months who will remove stones and plaque for your pet.
Step 5
York is a beautiful dog with luxurious coat, and beauty requires sacrifice. You should wash your Yorkie no more than once every ten days or two weeks. To do this, use a shampoo designed specifically for your breed and a conditioner to make combing easier. After the shower, the dog's coat should be dried and styled with a hair dryer, otherwise it will become tangled.
Step 6
To make six Yorkshire terriers look beautiful, they need to be brushed every day. From time to time you can also visit the grooming salon, where the hairdresser will give your pet a haircut.
