In addition, a kitten's eyes can also watery due to allergic reactions or mechanical damage. Allergies can occur due to house dust, pollen, and hair entering the eye. Mechanical damage can be associated with splashing hot oil, sparks from a fire, a grain of sand in the eye, and many other factors.
