Fishing hobby is one of the most expensive hobbies. Because good baits, quality materials and tackle are expensive. But not always even the most expensive leashes are the most catchy. The solution to this problem is homemade guitar string leads.
It is necessary
- Guitar string number 2
- Pliers
- Swivel
- Thick awl
Instructions
Step 1
First you need to take a string and wrap it around an awl or steel bar (you can also use a thick knitting needle). In this way, the upper round ring is made.
Step 2
Then you need to twist the string. The strength of the leash and the speed of changing the bait depend on the quality of the twist. The correct twisting should be as follows: the main piece of wire and the side are twisted symmetrically. Never twist the string so that the main section remains straight and the other end of the string is simply wrapped around it. With such a twist, the strength will be lower, and it will be more difficult to replace the bait.
Step 3
After the first loop with a tail is ready, the string must be turned back, and the straight "non-twisted" tail must be cut in such a way that, upon subsequent twisting, the string is completely wound onto the main rod of the leash.
Step 4
The second end of the leash must be made in the same way, but after untwisting, insert the swivel into the ring and fix it there. For strength, the swivel twist can be squeezed with pliers several times.
