A favorite pet from a cute puppy quickly grows into an adult dog. In adolescence, a male dog may begin to mark his territory at home. There can be many reasons for this behavior. In most cases, the established behavioral characteristics of the dog are clarified. Sometimes the cause of the tags can be some kind of illness or prolonged stress of the dog. In each of these cases, various correction options are used, but a general algorithm for the actions of the dog owners when tags appear at home can be foreseen.

Step 1
First of all, take care of the dog's health and exclude possible diseases, a symptom of which may be puddles and house marks. Go to the veterinary clinic, get a clinical urinalysis, do an ultrasound scan to the animal and, possibly, other tests as prescribed by the veterinarian. The most common disease in this situation is cystitis, sometimes there are various hormonal disorders. If you find any abnormalities in health, completely cure the dog, following all the appointments of the veterinarian. Even if the connection between the detected disease and the marks in the house is not traced, do not proceed to the next stages of correction until the animal is fully recovered.
Step 2
If your dog's veterinary checkup shows no problem, or more than a week has passed since his full recovery, and house tags continue to appear, consider dealing with chronic, severe stress for your dog. This is especially true for small breed dogs. Stress for them can be caused by the sudden arrival of guests or moving to a new place of residence, or even a change of feed. Think about whether the appearance of tags is associated with any event in your home. If possible, eliminate the found cause of the pet's stress, the result in the form of the absence of marks should appear within 1-2 weeks.
Step 3
If it is impossible to detect or eliminate the cause of the dog's stress, as well as in advanced cases of regular tags at home, behavioral correction should be used. Purchase a special enclosure from the pet store and install it in the room where your dog lives. The aviary should be small so that the dog can lie down quietly in it, with its legs fully extended. Leave your pet in the aviary whenever you are not working with him and cannot control his behavior, in particular, splashing puddles and leaving marks. The dog will not mark the place where it lies, and it will not be able to get to other places in the house. Thanks to this, within a few weeks the necessary cleanliness skill will be developed and the dog will eventually stop leaving marks all over the house. As a rule, the process of weaning from tags using an aviary takes an average of 2 to 4 weeks.
Step 4
During the period of weaning the dog and its presence in the aviary, treat all the places and things in the house previously marked by the animal with a special agent that eliminates unpleasant odors.
