Hamsters are very common pets. They are often presented to children, but adults are often engaged in breeding these rodents. Hamsters are very unpretentious, cute and funny animals, they are not difficult to keep. In order for your little pet to be healthy and cheerful, you need to carefully monitor its nutrition. It's good to have fresh food and clean water in the cage every day.
Instructions
Step 1
There is an opinion that there is no need to water hamsters at all, as if the moisture that they get from fresh vegetables and fruits is enough for them. But one can hardly agree with this, because for any living creature on our planet, moisture is necessary for life. Therefore, make sure that your hamster drinks clean water every day, even if you regularly include juicy vegetables, fruits and berries in his diet.
Step 2
In order to water your hamster, you can purchase a special drinker at the pet store. They are different in volume and consist of a measuring cup and a tube with a ball. When the hamster is thirsty, he goes to the drinking bowl and licks the ball at the end of the drinking bowl tube with his tongue - the ball rotates and fresh and clean water flows to the animal. Drinking cups are usually installed between the bars of the cage in which the animals are kept, and if your hamster lives in an aquarium, you can buy a drinking cup equipped with a suction cup.
Step 3
Also, for small cubs of hamsters who are not yet able to approach the feeding bowl on their own, or for particularly lazy individuals (and some hamsters are extremely lazy plovers), an ordinary pipette is suitable, into which you can draw water and bring it directly to the animal's face. Using a pipette, you can independently ensure that your pet is always watered.
Step 4
If you have a stainless steel sink at home, on which droplets of water accumulate, you can simply release hares there - your pet can take a walk and drink water. Just make sure that such walks are made regularly, at least twice a day, so that the hamster does not suffer from a lack of moisture.
Step 5
You can drink simple clean boiled water for hamsters, but these animals also love milk very much and do not refuse fruit juices (previously diluted with water so that it is not too sweet) or compotes. It is also helpful to offer hamsters fruits, vegetables, grated carrots and berries.
