Why does the cat vomit after eating?
If the cat periodically begins to vomit after eating, then, even without being a specialist, one can suspect that he has some kind of pathology of the gastrointestinal tract. The most common cause of vomiting is overeating or an inappropriate diet for this cat. Often, the discomfort is caused by a large amount of hair in the esophagus and stomach of the cat, which gets there when he licks.
Worms can be the cause of nausea in a domestic cat. Even a cat that is not outdoors and is not in contact with other animals can become infected with worms if the owners bring their eggs on shoes from the street.

What if the cat is sick?
A single vomiting is not a cause for panic; probably the animal is simply overeating or wool has accumulated in its stomach. If in general the cat is cheerful, playful, with a cold nose and shiny eyes, then everything is in order.

The doctor will examine the animal and take all the necessary tests to rule out infection. If he deems it necessary, then therapy will begin even before the test results are ready. For example, if an animal is dehydrated, and nothing is kept in its stomach, then the water deficit is replenished with the help of droppers with saline and vitamins.
If the cat's nausea occurs intermittently, then it may be time to give the pet an anthelmintic. Parasitologists strongly recommend prophylactically giving such drugs to pets at least once every 3-4 months. It is better to choose tablets of a wide spectrum of action, the dosage of which is easy to calculate by the weight of the animal: in a veterinary clinic or a pet store they will tell you which remedy is needed.
The pet is completely dependent on its owner, so it is important not to overlook the symptoms of the disease, such as nausea, and seek help in a timely manner. Only then will your pet live a long and happy life.
