Division by weight:
- small breeds weigh up to 10 kg;
- medium-sized dogs - 10-25 kg;
- large breeds - 26-45 kg.

1. Back length. Measure the dog only on a hard, hard floor or flat ground. If you are the owner of the dog, it is better to take measurements yourself. The dog should stand upright, leaning on all four legs, never lie down or sit. Even the smallest movement can lead to measurement errors. Use a flexible centimeter to measure the length from the withers (this is the highest point of the back of a calmly standing dog) along the spine to the base of its tail. This size you received is in centimeters and will be the size of the dog. It is important that your measurements are accurate. If the obtained length fluctuates between several sizes, deviating from the standard, then the size should be considered in the direction of the largest. If the animal is dense, with a large, voluminous chest, it is recommended to add one more size so that the item fits normally, and the dog does not feel uncomfortable. If the animal is thin and small, then the size needs a smaller one.
Step 3
Chest circumference. Start by measuring the largest part of your chest. It will be just behind the front legs. In order not to be mistaken, it is recommended to add 3 or 5 cm to the obtained measurements so that the thing fits the dog freely. But the style and style of the chosen clothes also play a big role.

Waist size. Measure it in the smallest part of the dog's belly, the one in front of the hind legs. It must be borne in mind that in a dog, the waist circumference is measured in front of the genitals. As with measuring the length of the back, the girth of the chest can be a little more centimeters than it turned out when measuring.
Step 5
4. And the last parameter is the girth of the neck. To obtain the size of the neck circumference of the animal, measure the majority of the neck, that is, at the base of the neck, where the dog's neck meets the body. The girth of the neck is usually equal to the size of her collar.
