Step 1
The first and most important stage in the treatment of fish, like, in fact, all living things, is the diagnosis. The veterinarian will cope with this task in the best way. A telephone consultation is also not a bad option if there is no possibility of a personal meeting.
Step 2
Once the diagnosis is made, the veterinarian will prescribe the medication that needs to be treated.
You can treat fish in a common aquarium or in a separate vessel. In some cases, such as trauma, for example, personalized medicated lotions will be most effective.
Step 3
For the treatment of infectious diseases, treatment is prescribed in a common aquarium. Such treatment is carried out as follows: a concentrated medicinal solution is prepared in a glass with a volume of 200-250 ml and poured into the aquarium in equal doses 3 times with an interval of at least 30 minutes. To better dilute the medicine in the aquarium, you can turn on low aeration. Thus, the treatment is carried out until the fish recover.
Step 4
Short-term baths are indicated for osteosis, chylodenellosis, oodinumosis, trichodinosis, gyrodactylosis, lerneosis, ichthyophthyriosis, argulez, dermatomycosis, dactylogyrosis, as well as against fish leech (piscicola). This treatment requires 3 containers: a quarantine aquarium, a treatment aquarium and an intermediate vessel. The aquarium for treatment is half filled with water and a concentrated solution calculated for this amount of water. Aeration must be turned on. Then the remaining concentrated solution should be topped up with a thin stream within 5 minutes. After the procedure, the fish are placed for 30 minutes. into the intermediate vessel, and then into the quarantine aquarium. Our favorites need our attention.
