Today the Yorkshire Terrier is one of the most beloved and popular dog breeds. The owners are happy to take little fashionistas to parties, presentations and clubs. Shiny, silky, shimmering with silver and gold wool is the main decoration of a Yorkie. All the variety of haircuts invented for these dogs can be roughly divided into two groups - model and standard.
It is necessary
- - a hair clipper;
- - scissors;
- - hairbrush.
Instructions
Step 1
Standard haircuts are a must for show dogs. They are carried out according to strictly defined rules. It should be remembered that an inept haircut can ruin your pet's "career". Therefore, it is recommended to entrust such work to professional groomers.
Step 2
At first glance, there is nothing complicated in a standard haircut. Place the dog on a table and carefully comb the Yorkshire Terrier's coat with a comb. The haircut must be done moving from the front legs to the hind legs. Carefully trim off any excess wool hanging over the edge of the table to achieve the desired floor length. Turn the york to the other side and repeat the procedure.
Step 3
Place the dog with its tail facing you. Comb again so that the hair on the tail and back hangs off the table. Trim any excess, ending with a gentle bend. Turn the Yorkshire Terrier towards you and repeat the entire procedure. Trim the anus, armpits, ear tips and between the toes shortly.
Step 4
If you do not plan to take your pet to exhibitions and you do not have the time and desire to take care of his coat every day, then you can give your dog some cute and practical haircut. For example, leaving the funny "pants".
Step 5
Gently trim the hair under the tail, leaving 5-10 mm. Take a typewriter. Mentally define the boundary of the haircut - as a rule, it starts from the elbow of the dog and goes to the groin.
Step 6
Trim the back and neck of the Yorkshire Terrier, leaving a length of 15-20 mm. Trim your throat, belly, and chest to the same length. Be careful not to injure your dog with car knives.
Step 7
Take scissors. Leave the desired length on the tail. Trim the hind legs by shortening six at the top to 20 mm, and leaving the "pants" below, from the elbow joint. Trim the length carefully. Trim the paw pads, leaving 5 mm. Do the same for the front legs.
Step 8
Give the head a round shape. To do this, take a comb and carefully trim the dog, moving from eyes to back. Treat first one and then the other cheek. Make sure that the length of the strands is the same.
Step 9
Cut a triangle at the bridge of the nose. Trim the top of the ears short on the inside and outside. Trim the hair on the chin and jaw. Thanks to this haircut, your pet will turn into a funny plush toy.
