These are cheap feeds, low in nutrients, high in plant waste, soy, and animal by-products. Long-term feeding with this type of food can lead to diseases due to a lack of minerals, vitamins, proteins and other substances, therefore, when feeding a dog with such food, regularly give it vitamins and other useful supplements. Economy-class feeds include such brands as "Pedigri", "Chappi", "Trapeza". In foreign countries, these brands belong to a higher class, but a different product is supplied to the Russian market.
Next in quality and additives comes the premium class. This is a more thoughtful and balanced diet, which requires less intervention of the owner in feeding the pet. Such popular brands as "Royal Canin", "Proplan", "Hills" belong to it. Many have started production on Russian territory and the quality of food has dropped significantly. Also, due to the popularity, there are many fakes.
Super-premium feeds are "Eukanuba", some types of "Akana", "Innova", "Origen". They already have no offal, a lot of nutrients, a completely balanced diet.
Holistic feeds usually do not contain any cereal products. “Kanidae”, some types of “Akana”, “Go!”, “Now” are top class food. Despite the high price, they are very nutritious, so the consumption is low, and as a result they do not come out much more expensive than the lower classes of feed.
