In a personal subsidiary farm, chickens can be removed in two ways - using electric incubators, which are available in the trade in a wide range, or putting a brooding hen on eggs. In order for a brood hen to successfully vaporize the chicks, certain rules must be followed.

It is necessary

  • - nest;
  • - straw;
  • - fertilized eggs;
  • - ovoscope.

Instructions

Step 1

If you are going to evaporate chickens in a natural way under a brooding hen, then you should know that not every chicken is able to sit on the clutch and evaporate it successfully, that is, to sit to the end. Most often, brood hens grow from chicks evaporated under a chicken. Hatchery chicks very rarely retain the ability to hatch naturally, and attempts to hen them are unsuccessful.

Step 2

If you see that the chicken shows a desire to sit on the clutch, coughs, then equip it with a place for incubation. Make a separate nest in a dark place in the coop. To do this, knock down a box measuring 70x70 cm, place it away from feeders and perches. If you evaporate chickens under several hens at once, then it is most rational to separate them from the rest of the chicken population by a fence made of a chain-link mesh. You will feed and water all hens separately from the rest of the chicken population.

Step 3

Prepare fresh eggs. One hen can evaporate approximately 12 eggs and then only if it is large enough. Broiler chickens are not suitable for incubating eggs. Only purebred egg or meat and egg chicken breeds are suitable.

Step 4

All eggs that you are going to evaporate must be fertilized, for this check them on an ovoscope, clean and laid no more than 10 days ago.

Step 5

Your task is to place the required number of eggs in the nest, ready to be steamed, and place the chicken on them. Whether or not the hen will evaporate is beyond your control. The most optimal period for starting incubation is considered to be evening. Therefore, place the hen in the prepared nest right after the evening feed, cover the nest with a wicker basket.

Step 6

Release the hen for feeding once a day. During the first days of incubation, feed the chicken only with whole grains and drink with clean water.

Step 7

After 4 days, you can remove the basket, the chicken will not rise from the eggs. During feeding, the hen runs very quickly, eats, drinks and sits down on the clutch again.

Step 8

If you notice crushed eggs, then replace them, but this can be done only in the first two to three days.

Step 9

After 6 days, check the eggs with an ovoscope. This is best done while feeding the chicken. Remove all eggs without embryos.

Step 10

Chicks will hatch approximately 21 days after hatching begins. It is very convenient to use a brooding hen, since there is no need to monitor the temperature regime of the incubator and regulate the air humidity.
