Dolphins (Delphinidae) are the most beautiful representatives of the order of mammals, the cetacean family. Mammals are warm-blooded creatures that can inhabit almost all conditions. Most often, dolphins lead a group lifestyle.
Instructions
Step 1
Since time immemorial, a good, kind and sincere relationship has developed between dolphins and humans. The initiators of this state of affairs were the sea animals themselves, who never gave reason to doubt their excellent friendliness, loyalty and sympathy. History knows no cases when these beautiful, graceful and impetuous inhabitants of the world's oceans attacked people. But there are many stories about how dolphins rescued drowning people, helping them to get to land. Dolphins feel great in sea water. Their body is specially designed for life at sea, it has a streamlined shape and a flattened tail. The dolphin has 210 teeth in its mouth, but at the same time it swallows food in pieces, without chewing. Dolphins have lungs, but they don't have gills, like fish. The dolphin's brain weighs almost the same as the human brain. The dolphin has a four-chambered heart. These marine animals are able to distinguish between sweet, bitter and salty tastes.
Step 2
Dolphins live in large groups - flocks. In a pack, all animals are related by kinship. There are no strangers or strangers here. These communities are strong, united and friendly, they never disintegrate and have existed, probably, for hundreds of years. At the head of such a flock is an experienced, lived male. But in some species, the opposite is true: the head is a mature female, while the males are in secondary roles. The gestation period in females lasts 12-16 months (depending on the species). The cub is born one and large (50-60 cm). His mother feeds him with milk for 6-8 months. Dolphins grow very slowly, the attitude towards young animals in the flock is quivering and gentle. The cub is strongly attached to the mother, follows her everywhere. Only after reaching the age of two, the young dolphin begins to adapt to an independent life. They feed mainly on fish and squid, although some species prefer shrimp and other crustaceans, and killer whales also eat sea turtles, aquatic mammals and birds. The average life span of these mammals is 50 years. In captivity, they live half as much.
Step 3
Mass commercial hunting for dolphins, deprivation of their freedom, commercial use of these amazing animals in dolphinariums do not honor the crown of nature. It has long been known that communication with dolphins has a beneficial effect on the physical and emotional well-being of humans. Research has shown that dolphins are capable of giving off positive energy. Despite the separate negative, dolphins are amazing animals. You begin to experience admiration and delight, looking at their graceful bodies, gracefully and swiftly sliding along the sea surface. The absence of fear of people and the willingness to come to the rescue cause involuntary respect. Kindness and sociability provoke reciprocal kindness, and a seditious thought begins to creep into my head that if the king of nature were a dolphin, and not a man, then life on earth could be truly happy and cloudless.
