Step 1
Up to 4 months, the jaws of puppies are still quite weak and the teeth are used not for protection, but for play. At this age, he learns to communicate with relatives, assimilate relationships within the pack. If, playing with fellow tribesmen, he bites too hard, then in response he hears an unpleasant squeal and realizes that he has caused pain. So he learns to measure the strength of the bite. The people among whom the baby lives are perceived by him as relatives, his flock. And, having already his own life experience and the habit of biting during games, he transfers this to relations with the owners.
Step 2
When the puppy wants to play with the owner, he begins to bite him slightly. If a person pushes him away, then he perceives it as a continuation of the game. The bites get worse. If you did not push the baby away, started playing with him, this will be perceived as encouragement, the bites will continue and intensify. Such play behavior requires correction on the part of the owner, as it can develop into a serious problem.
Step 3
If your pet bites you while playing, do not hit or scold him. React like another puppy would - yelp loudly and unpleasantly. This will let you know that you are in pain. Stop playing, step back. If you constantly react to play bites in this way, you will soon notice that the puppy bites less often and not as much as before.
Step 4
This method is effective for up to 4, 5 months. Later, the dogs develop permanent teeth and the problem of dominance arises. The puppy begins to consider himself the main one in the family. Your task is to explain who is the leader of the pack and what place he himself occupies in it.
Step 5
Do not hit or yell at the dog. Sometimes such actions are perceived as a continuation of the game. This can make the bites even worse. Take the puppy by the withers and press the muzzle to the floor. Look in the eyes and say strictly: "You can't." Do not react to any of his actions for 15-20 minutes.
Step 6
Do not let your puppy sleep on the bed. Enter the door and climb the stairs in front of him. Make you give way. Feed after the whole family has eaten. Make it clear that he must earn food. First, give any command and achieve its execution, and only then feed.
