A cat club is a public or commercial organization in which breeding work is carried out, mating of animals is monitored and registered, and cat shows are held. If you are concerned about breeding issues, you need to join a cat club and, with your pet, become a participant in selection and genetic programs that an experienced curator-felinologist will select for you.
Instructions
Step 1
If you become a happy owner of a kitten with pedigree and acquired it through the club, then you can join it or any other felinological organization that is advised to you. You can find the phones of such organizations in your city through the city telephone inquiry or the Internet. In the event that the settlement in which you live is small, and there is no cat club in it, contact the regional center.
Step 2
Familiarize yourself with the rules of breeding cats, which you will be invited to read in the club. If you agree to follow them, then present your passport and the original of your cat's pedigree to the club. Right there, in the club, a copy will be made and certified. This copy will remain in the club and will be filed in the folder with your pet's documents. Pay the entry fee. Its amount does not depend on the number of registered kittens and is equal to 500-600 rubles.
Step 3
When moving from an amateur club to a professional “cat-lovers” club, in addition to your passport and pedigree of the cat, you will need to confirm the marks and titles received at exhibitions of other systems. They will need to be confirmed at the PCA show in the same ring. To help you with breeding work, you will be assigned a curator from the club.
Step 4
A beautiful kitten who finds itself in your house without documents can also become a member of a cat club without having a pedigree on its paws. To do this, you need to join a professional PCA club and take part in an exhibition where the kitten will be presented in the "beginners" class. It can also be sealed “on the table” by an expert felinologist. After that, the kitten will receive a breed certificate.
Step 5
With the breed certificate, contact the club for a pedigree. In it, in those columns where the parents should be indicated, there will be an inscription “origin unknown”. But such a pedigree gives the official right to the owner of the cat to engage in experimental breeding. So, even a "homeless child" picked up on the street has a chance to become the ancestor of the breed if he joins a cat club.
