Not all breeders can afford to buy rabbit cages. You can build a dwelling for eared pets yourself. It is necessary to build a separate cage for the male, a separate one for the female, and two more for the rabbit offspring. The cages must be made in such a way that it is convenient to feed the rabbits, clean up after them, and transplant.
It is necessary
Lumber, posts, roofing felt, metal mesh with cells, saw, hammer, nails, shovel
Instructions
Step 1
First, choose the most comfortable place for the cages. It should be comfortable to approach, trees should grow around that protect the rabbits from the sun and wind. Then outline the size of each future cell - it shouldn't be too big. Dig four holes for the four pillars that will support the cage. Install pillars in the pits, wrapped at the ends with roofing material, cover with gravel, tamp and bury so that a slight slope is created for the future floor.
Step 2
Attach a wooden floor to the support posts. If you are going to keep rabbits only in the summer, make the floor mesh - from slats. If your pets will breed in winter, arrange a solid floor with a slope of 5 cm. Nail the walls and roof from a plank with a visor about 30 cm.
Step 3
Divide each cage into sections - feed and nest. Attach two mesh doors to the front leading to the aft compartment and two from the planks. Leading to the nesting department. Place a feeder and drinker in front, a manger for hay.
