Every aquarist wants the fish in the aquarium to live long and reproduce successfully. To do this, your pets will need not only the attention of the owner, but also special conditions.
It is necessary
- Spawning aquarium
- Plants
- Directory of fish species
- Ceramic pots, tree roots, nylon thread, broadleaf plants - depending on the type of fish
- Pipette
Instructions
Step 1
Decide which fish you are going to breed. They are viviparous and spawning. Viviparous fry give birth to viable fry, and their reproduction usually does not require special conditions. A single fertilization is enough for a female to give birth to fry 7-8 times. Moreover, in one litter she has several dozen fry.
Step 2
Select a pair of breeders, the largest and most correctly built female and male. Pay attention to the color, it should be the brightest of all the fish available. Place the producers in a separate aquarium.
Step 3
When fry appear, separate parent and offspring. Immediately start feeding the fry with small cyclops. Live dust is also suitable as food for newborns. Serve finely grated egg yolk periodically.
Step 4
Change their diet as the fry grow. Let's get bigger cyclops, daphnia, bloodworms.
Step 5
Prepare spawning fish for spawning. Each species spawns differently. It is necessary to take into account the temperature and thickness of the water layer, its composition, oxygen content. Determine the size of the spawning ground and the substrate to be placed in the aquarium, the number and types of plants,
Step 6
Place breeders in a spawning aquarium. Mating games begin with the female flirting with the male. Then their roles change, the male chases the female. Then the female lays eggs, and the male fertilizes her.
Step 7
Separate the broodstock after fertilization, as many species of fish eat their eggs or fry. Remove unfertilized eggs from the spawning aquarium with a pipette, otherwise it will rot. Caviar develops from 2-3 days. There are fish species in which the development of eggs has a longer period, from 10 days to several months and even up to six months. After that, fry hatch from the eggs.
Step 8
Feed the fry with live dust. When they grow up and become only half the size of their adult relatives, transplant them into a common aquarium.
