The pearl parrot (or Kramer's bird) is one of the most common and unpretentious bird species. He does not need any sophistication, he easily trusts a person and, moreover, has an amazing ability to talk (the chick memorizes up to 60 words!). So it will definitely not be boring with him.
The characteristic features of the necklace parrots are a stripe on the chest in the form of a tie or necklace, a red beak and an orange ring around the eyes. But in color, they may differ slightly. So, depending on the habitat, there are - plum-breasted, emerald, red-headed, pink-breasted, gray-headed (Himalayan), gray-breasted (Chinese) and almost pure green (Mauritian). And also multi-colored (Malabar and Alexandrian).

Although the pearl parrot is an unpretentious bird, it is very desirable to create certain conditions for its maintenance:
- ambient temperature - 15-20 degrees;
- daylight hours - up to 12 hours;
- air humidity - 60-70%;
- a large cage with horizontal metal rods along which the bird will move.

The necklace parrot's daily diet should include oats (25%), seeds (10-15%), millet (35%), fresh vegetables (5-7%). But you can also give special mineral additives, thanks to which its plumage will shine. And also walnuts, almonds, boiled corn, oatmeal, wheat germ. Occasionally - white bread crumb, cottage cheese and vegetables.
