Often completely white cats at a young age have black or gray spots on the top of the head and the area between the ears on the forehead. Usually, by the age of 9 months, these spots completely disappear. But in absolutely black kittens, when they reach the age of nine months, specks of red, white or fawn shades may begin to appear, and the coat begins to change its color.

The dream of many cat lovers is red or red cats. At the age of 12 months, kittens can be evenly colored, however, in the process of loss of baby hair, a more or less clear pattern in the form of stripes may appear. In fact, there are no completely monochromatic cats of this color, they are all striped to one degree or another, it just can be either almost imperceptible or clearly visible. But if you see a creamy kitten with a very weakly pronounced tabby pattern (these are the very stripes), you know, most likely in adulthood they will completely disappear and the color of the cat will be completely creamy.

Smoky kittens should be chosen carefully. The fact is that many black cats in childhood have a light smoky coat, which can be mistaken for a real smoky color. If the smoky shade is of fundamental importance to you, check with the breeder what color your kitten's parents' coat is. If neither parent has a light undercoat, kittens cannot be smoky. After a while, the baby's wool will be replaced by darker or even blackened. Be careful.
