You have decided to purchase a Scottish Fold kitten. This is a touching and important event for both you and your future pet. He will have a different family, and you will have a little friend and loving companion. Undoubtedly, your responsibility for him as a living being is colossal. Proper care, hygiene, walks, all kinds of preventive vaccinations and, of course, the organization of proper nutrition - this is an incomplete list of the upcoming troubles.
Instructions
Step 1
Include low-fat dairy products in your baby's diet. In terms of digestibility, cottage cheese and kefir from a series of baby food are in the first place. An older kitten can be fed with 0% fat curd. But do not get carried away with cottage cheese - its excess leads to an increase in the rigidity of the animal's fur and causes the ears to rise. But soft plush wool and drooping ears are the main signs of your pet's breed. It is better not to give whole milk at all, it causes intestinal upset in kittens.
Step 2
Remember that the kitten should always have clean water in a separate bowl.
Step 3
Feed an already grown kitten with lean meat, for example, lean lamb, rabbit, chicken. Before eating, scald the meat with boiling water or bring to a boil and cool. This way you can be sure that the product is safe. And exclude pork meat, as it can lead to fatal diseases for your pet. Also offer your baby boiled offal. But remember that they should be given no more than 1 time per week. Buy only sea fish and before serving it to your pet, boil it and free it from the bones.
Step 4
Do not give your kitten bones from poultry, because they are sharp and can damage the wall of the gastrointestinal tract.
Step 5
Be sure to cook porridge and boiled vegetables for the cat. They contain all the useful vitamins and minerals. Add vegetable oil to vegetables for better absorption.
Step 6
And do not overfeed your pet, because overweight cat leads to serious health problems.
