Some people exhibit their pets at exhibitions, successfully "marry" them, get purebred offspring. Therefore, breed purity among professional dog breeders is very important. A purebred dog must have all the necessary documents.

Step 1
When you buy a purebred puppy, you will be given a puppy passport. This document confirms the thoroughbredness of the selected puppy. The puppy's passport contains his nickname, parents' nicknames, puppy's birthday, and his color. It also contains information about the future owner and the puppy's mark number. Be sure to check if these numbers on the puppy and on the passport match. The puppy's passport must have the name of the organization that issued the document and its stamp. This document must be issued to you at the time of purchasing the puppy. You should not agree to issue a passport for a puppy later. This document is a guarantee that you are buying a truly thoroughbred puppy, and not a mongrel.
Step 2
At the age of 6 to 15 months, the "puppy" is changed to a pedigree. It is issued only by the Russian Kennel Federation. This document contains all the important information about the dog, about its ancestors and about you as the owner. The pedigree can later be changed to inter-pedigree. It is filled with Latin letters and is similar in function to a person's passport. It is needed for those dogs that are exhibited at international exhibitions not only in Russia, but also in foreign countries.
Step 3
An International Veterinary Passport is issued when a puppy is first registered at a veterinary clinic. This document contains information about the vaccinations given, about the treatment of the dog for fleas or worms, about operations or medical procedures. Each action is written on a specific page of the document and confirmed by the signature of the doctor and the seal of the clinic. Always check all vaccinations as without them, you will not be able to take your dog abroad or knit.
Step 4
A dog's passport is an optional document, but also very important. In this passport it is written about breeding admission, about dog breeding, about childbirth. This document contains information about the dog's insurance, about the exhibitions and competitions held and about the diplomas received from them.
Step 5
In the list of optional documents, you can add a document confirming that your dog has completed a training course. This can be a course of initial training or some kind of behavior correction. For hunting dogs there is a document confirming the working qualities on the hunt. When joining a kennel club, you are given a document stating that your dog is registered there.
All these optional documents may be needed for mating or for exhibitions.
