That is why the animal can bend so dexterously.
These flying squirrels are naturally equipped with another device that makes miraculous flights possible. In the inner ear of cats there is a "gyroscope", it helps them to instantly orientate in space. The tail serves as a counterweight to speed up flips. Correct body position transforms the fall into a soaring flight, and the pads on the feet absorb when landing. But for a successful landing, oddly enough it sounds, the height of the fall should be as large as possible. Having fallen from the 2nd floor, the cat is more at risk of breaking paws or beating off the entrails than falling from the 9th floor. She simply does not have enough time for all the coups and groupings.
The abilities of these pets are surprising and admirable, but you still need to try to avoid such falls. It is better to provide your pet or darling with a comfortable stay, and protect the dangerous areas of loggias and balconies with nets or frames. So it will be more useful for the cat, and you will be calmer.
