Step 1
Fish from the salmon family, to which the trout belongs, are the only ones that make up the salmon suborder. At all times, salmon were revered by true gourmets as a delicacy: dishes of salmon, chum salmon, pink salmon, grayling and trout were often served at the royal table along with dishes from sturgeon fish. Trout, like many other salmon species, is appreciated all over the world not only for its delicious meat, but also for its red caviar.

As noted above, trout, along with salmon, is the collective name for several different types of fish. It should be noted that the species independence of trout is currently being questioned due to the extreme proximity of these species to each other. For example, river (real) trout is often identified with lake trout, and these are two different types of trout. The dimensions of the trout are as follows: body length does not exceed 1 m, and weight does not exceed 20 kg. In most cases, trout are 25 cm long and weigh 500 g.
Step 3
The body of the trout is slightly flattened from the sides, the muzzle is short and truncated. The color of all representatives of these fish is variable. Usually their backs are painted in olive green, and the sides are yellow-green. Often, the sides of the trout are speckled red or white. The belly of the trout has a grayish color, sometimes with a copper sheen. The pelvic fins are yellow, while the dorsal fins are decorated with dots. Male trout differ from females in their smaller body size, larger head size, and also a large number of teeth.

Salmon, to which trout belong, live in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, in fresh water bodies of the northern and middle latitudes. Salmon are anadromous and freshwater fish: they live in the seas, but go to fresh waters to spawn. It is curious that Pacific salmon often pay for such a trip with their own lives. The largest spawning ground for representatives of this family is Kamchatka. Curiously, trout are the most sensitive fish to water pollution. They are often used in the wastewater filtration system: if a toxic substance appears in the water, the trout is the first to die.
Step 5
Trout and other salmon species are prized as commercial fish. Their production is carried out not so much for the sake of delicious meat, which is delicious, as for the sake of expensive red caviar. Poaching on this soil knows no boundaries! That is why the population of some salmon species is currently on the verge of extinction. Some of these fish species are listed in the "Red Book".
