Rosella is a parrot that is native to Australia. But because of the bright color, the birds have become very popular in Russia. These parrots have a very peculiar flight. They flap their wings at incredible speed, but their movement cannot be called very fast. Young individuals differ from adults in less bright color.

If you have already decided to become the owner of this Australian parrot, you need to make the right choice. Inspect the bird's plumage carefully before purchasing. It should be neat enough and without any bald spots. Otherwise, you run the risk of acquiring a sick parrot that will not live long.
An important factor when choosing is the behavior of the bird. Rosella parrots are usually very active and cheerful. So, passive behavior and a dull look should alert you. Maintenance and care
It should be borne in mind that Rosellas do not tolerate dampness at all. This means that they must be kept in rooms with a relative humidity of 50 to 70%. The optimum temperature range is 20-22 ° C. Also, the premises should be periodically well ventilated.
When choosing a cage, it is better to give preference to the large version with a pull-out tray. In general, it is better to keep rosells in enclosures, but the space does not always allow this.
