Chow Chow is one of the oldest dog breeds. By its origin, it belongs to the Spitz group, but there is an assumption that an admixture of the blood of the Tibetan mastiff flows in the Chow. A dog can be both an excellent watchdog and an excellent nanny, which can be entrusted to the smallest children. Step 1
To begin with, create favorable conditions for the full development of the puppy. Provide him with a place where he can move freely and have as much space as he needs.
Step 2
Try to communicate more with the baby, talk to him, so that the contact between you becomes stronger. Buy a variety of toys for your puppy. You can buy special for dogs, as well as latex, rubber or vinyl. Do not give everything right away, as they will quickly become uninteresting to him. It is better to give out new toys gradually, and remove old ones for a while.
Step 3
Chow Chows are very clean. The puppy tries to do his "business" in one place, so put a newspaper or rubber mat in the corner. If the kid himself chose a place for the toilet, then put the newspaper there.
Step 4
Teach your puppy to comb his hair from early childhood, then in the future there will be no problems with this. Purchase brushes, combs, and supplies from the pet store. Don't forget to take care of your baby's eyes and ears.
Step 5
When feeding both dry and soaked foods, make sure your puppy always has fresh water. It is recommended to give a small chow-chow low-fat cottage cheese with low-fat kefir or fermented baked milk, but not often. As a treat, you can use cheese cut into small pieces, a green apple, or raisins.
Step 6
Do not walk with your puppy until all vaccinations have been completed and at least two weeks have passed since the last one. On the first walk, take your baby out on a leash; it is better to use a soft harness. There are many new things on the street, so his reaction can be the most unpredictable. The duration of the walks is 30-40 minutes, excessive loads are contraindicated for the puppy.
Step 7
For all the affection that a puppy evokes in you, firmly suppress his behavior, which will be very difficult to correct in the future. If he gets used to unlimited freedom, then he can grow up as a poorly bred dog with uncontrollable behavior. Do not disregard any of his tricks.
