As already mentioned, anacondas live in places that are inaccessible to humans, inhabiting the quiet backwaters of the Orinoco and Amazon. Sometimes these predators crawl ashore to bask in the warm rays of the southern sun.

The fattest snake in the world hunts from an ambush, patiently waiting for the future victim. Animals descending to the watering hole do not notice the anaconda at all, which skillfully disguises itself as algae and grass. Its cunning color misleads the future victim: as soon as an unlucky bull, deer or tapir bend over the water to drink, a lightning throw of an anaconda immediately occurs. The fattest snake on Earth operates with its non-poisonous teeth only for the first seconds, and then the muscles are used. The embrace of a water boa constrictor is cruel and deadly, but the green anaconda does not break the bones of its victim, but simply strangles it. The snake drags the already limp prey into the water. The diet of anaconda is varied: small mammals (young gobies, tapirs, deer, pigs), small birds, fish.
