Almost every dog owner wants to have puppies from her. And not from some homeless Sharik, but from the selected manufacturer, especially if you are interested in breeding dogs as a business. But the dog itself does not always agree with such an unceremonious intrusion into her love sphere. The question arises, how can everything be done correctly so that the mating of dogs is successful?
Instructions
Step 1
Puberty in dogs occurs at 7-10 months, depending on the breed. But this does not mean that the bitch can be allowed to fertilize. Mating of dogs less than 1, 5 years old is prohibited. The animal must be fully formed so that childbirth does not bring complications, and the puppies are born without pathologies.
Step 2
After puberty, the bitch periodically, usually in spring and autumn, is in heat. At this time, her vulva swells, bloody discharge appears. After 9-10 days, after the first signs of estrus appear, the dog is ready to mate. Her discharge lightens, the swelling of the vulva (loop) decreases, the dog reacts to the touch of the hand to the base of the tail by moving it to the side.
Step 3
The best time for mating dogs is early morning, better in the territory that is familiar to the dog. This will make him feel much more confident. Animals need to be walked well, not fed. During the mating process of dogs, the presence of a large number of people is not recommended, both owners are enough. For the first mating, select only an experienced "untied" male.
Step 4
The dogs are first introduced to each other by holding them on leashes. Sometimes the bitch may not like the dog, she begins to show aggression. Then a muzzle should be put on her. In rare cases, on the contrary, the bitch does not attract the male, this is a consequence of the weak smell of estrus as a result of poor maturation of the eggs. Or the dog is actively caring, but does not want to knit, which means that the bitch is not ready yet. It is better to try again in a day.
Step 5
If everything is normal, then the male, after a short sniffing, makes a cage. Sometimes the bitch squats, in this case you need to support her belly with your right hand. Bitches of some aggressive breeds, such as the Caucasian Shepherd Dog, may not tolerate a male dog, so they need to be tied up. After several unsuccessful cages, dogs should be given a 15 minute break. If during one of these cages the male ejaculates, he needs an hour's rest in isolation from the bitch.
Step 6
During normal mating, the male makes a few thrusts with the body, after which ejaculation begins. It is indicated by the dancing movements of the hind legs. At this moment, the dogs are crossed with a "lock". After the dog has calmed down, you need to move his front leg over the back of the bitch and make sure that the dogs are calm. The bitch may try to break free, squeal, whine, lie down. After a couple of minutes, she calms down. The animals are kept in a state of "lock" for a long time, from 15 minutes to an hour.
Step 7
After the end of mating, the dogs must be led, the bitch must not be allowed to urinate. It is advisable to re-mate with the same dog in 1-2 days.
