Labrador is one of the most popular dog breeds. They are intelligent, friendly, and have a good attitude towards children and are often used as guides and rescuers. The coat of Labradors is thick, waterproof and little dirty, so they are rarely washed, being content with cleaning and combing. However, if your Labrador has fallen into something odorous, it needs to be washed.
It is necessary
- - shampoo and conditioner for dog hair;
- - terry towel;
- - brush for wool;
- - delicacy.
Instructions
Step 1
Purchase a fragrance-free dog hair shampoo and conditioner. Human hair care products will not work in this case. they will wash off the fatty film from the skin of the animal.
Step 2
Turn on the warm water, close the door to the bathroom, because the dog may catch a cold. Put your pet in the bath. Usually Labradors love bathing, but if this is not the case for your pet and he strives to jump out of the bath, put on a collar for the dog and secure the leash to the mixer.
Step 3
Gently shampoo the Labrador Retriever. If you want the effect of the detergent to be as gentle as possible, dilute the shampoo with water. When bathing, make sure that no water gets into the ears of the Labrador. Rinse off the shampoo thoroughly with a copious stream of water. Lather your dog again if necessary. Lather and rinse off the shampoo from the head, moving in the direction of hair growth towards the tail.
Step 4
Use conditioner to restore the protective barrier on your Labrador's skin. A special conditioner, like shampoo, can be diluted with water. Keep it on the animal's fur for as long as recommended in the instructions, and then rinse thoroughly.
Step 5
Talk to your dog. To prevent the bathing process from being associated with negative emotions in the Labrador, it needs to be praised, encouraged, and calmed. At the end of the procedure, reward your dog with something delicious.
Step 6
Dry the Labrador's fur with a terry towel and comb gently. If your pet is not afraid of a hair dryer, dry it with it. Just pay attention to the temperature regime, which should be gentle. You can take the dog for a walk in 1, 5-2 hours after water procedures.
