Siberian cats are a very beautiful and not cheap breed. A kitten can cost from 10 to 25 thousand rubles. Having decided to start breeding, it is very important to choose a purebred Siberian cat, because if you take an animal with any marriage, then the litter will turn out to be unsuccessful.

Step 1
Examine the animal carefully. Pay attention to the cat's head. The breed standard includes cats with a trapezoidal head. In the upper part of the skull, the head is somewhat wider, but closer to the muzzle it tapers.
Step 2
Look at your ears. They should be slightly rounded and slope slightly forward. Pay attention to the distance between them, it should be equal to the width of the ears themselves. Behind the ear, the hair is thin and short, but elongates from the middle. Small tassels should be present at the tips of the ears.
Step 3
Pay attention to your pet's eyes. For real Siberians, they should be large, almost round. The outer corner slopes slightly towards the base of the ear. The distance must necessarily be greater than the width of the eye itself.
Step 4
Pet the cat and look at its back. Ideally, it should be slightly higher than the shoulders. The hind legs are necessarily longer than the front ones. The paws themselves are large, and pubescence is clearly visible between the toes.
Step 5
Feel your cat's fur. It should be a little harsh. Must be present "collar" and "pants". The color can be varied.
Step 6
To select a purebred individual, contact a reputable, reputable nursery. Be sure to read the documents for the animal and ask the kitten's parents. Check if all vaccinations have been done. When choosing a kitten, make sure that it does not have fleas and any discharge from the eyes and nose. The tummy of a completely healthy baby should be elastic.
Step 7
Before you go to buy an animal, study the breed and behavior of cats in detail. In case you are in doubt, it is best to take a familiar expert with you who can easily distinguish a purebred from a regular one.
